Five Custom Design Trends
View all blog postsCreative Table Bases
Sometimes it is really is all about that base. Custom table bases can take an ordinary tabletop and transform it into a memorable design moment. We fabricated a diverse range of table bases including wooden dowels and cones, "Y" bases, turned wood totems, drums (both in steel, wood and even fabric!), just to name a few. As we always say, Icon Modern loves a good design challenge so let your creative energy flow.

Games for Cafe + Amenity Spaces
As employees are increasingly returning to the office, we've seen a rise in requests for in-office games such as chess, foosball, checkers and even skeeball! We fabricated several chess tables that feature a unique flip-style top that houses game pieces as well as a plain side to hide the screen-printed chess board when desired. Customizing foosball tables allows clients to personalize the playing field with their company logo.

Stone Tables
We've seen a significant increase in demand for stone tables, as workspaces have taken on a more luxe and refined aesthetic (think hospitality). What we love about this trend is the ability to combine stone with both wood and metal. We love a good mixed material project! We work closely with our stone partners to source your stone specification and are very familiar with coordinating seaming and install.

Steel Ceiling Elements
Steel ceiling elements are an easy and budget-friendly way to maximize ceiling heights while masking exposed ducts, pipes and other undesired objects and as a result, they continue to be a highly requested product for Icon Modern. They represent a great opportunity to add biophilic elements such as faux hanging plants. With unlimited shapes, colors and textures, there are endless possibilities.
