Icon Modern Adds Studio REO as Furniture Rep Group Partner
The partnership expands the Chicago-based custom contract furniture manufacturer beyond the Midwest market into New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, with New York City-based Studio
CHICAGO, IL, September 28, 2021 – Icon Modern, a custom contract furniture manufacturer in Chicago, IL announced a formal partnership with contract furniture rep group Studio REO which provides furniture and decorative fabrication, art curation and fabrication, and seating for vertical markets including Workplace and Hospitality. The partnership brings a new territory to Icon Modern’s reach, expanding from the Midwest into the New York Tri-State area.
Icon Modern’s custom products are rooted in sustainability, featuring commercial-grade tables handcrafted from local urban trees that are diverted from landfill. Other products include reception desks, space dividers, planters and found objects – all of which are completely customizable for a truly one-of-a-kind design.

Design industry veteran Richard Odom founded Studio REO in 2019 after 20 years in procurement. Noticing what was missing in the industry, he formed the company and brought on manufacturers that emphasized an innovative approach to design, sustainable materials, craftsmanship, and technology.
